About In The High Peaks

In the High Peaks began with a simple belief: the best mountain stays aren't defined by a checklist of amenities, but by what makes each place special.

We look for distinctive properties in mountain destinations — a remarkable setting, dramatic windows overlooking the woods, spaces that bring families together, or a location that puts the mountains just outside the door. We thoughtfully develop them around the character that drew us to them in the first place.

That means no two places need to be alike. One might be a modern mountain home with elevated amenities; another a secluded cabin with soaring windows and a wood-burning fireplace. What connects them is our approach: find what makes a place worth experiencing and thoughtfully build around it.

In the High Peaks is the owner and developer behind this growing collection of independently named short-term rental properties, rather than the name of a hotel, resort, or accommodation. Each property has its own identity — including Firefly Haus and Deepwoods Escape — with more places to come.

Mountain stays, thoughtfully made.
